MULTI-MODE DATA COLLECTION
A survey is only valuable and useful when the number of people responding is large enough to truly represent the population being surveyed. Sometimes to get a large response we have to use multiple methods of data collection.
Multi-mode data collection uses two or more methods for the same survey and creates a common database. In today’s high tech world this combination often uses the Web in addition to phone and / or mail surveys. Survey audiences are often given a choice of response methods at the beginning of the survey process. This makes it possible for them to respond in a way that is convenient, familiar and comfortable for them.
